Step 1 Soak and boil chickpeas with salt in a pressure cooker. Keep it aside. In a frying pan pour oil.
Step 2 Put one clove, one cinnamon stick, bay leaf, one cardomon, cumin seeds. Then add finely chopped onions. fry nicely till golden brown.

Step 6 Remove the lid.Now add this coconut paste mix and transfer this to the pressure cooker. Now add mutton masala powder and pressure cook for one more whistle.
Step 7 Turn off the cooker and check when the steam has come down.
Step 8 At this point put kasuri methi leaves (crushed) and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Step 9 Chic peas gravy is ready to plate. It's very tasty with chapati poori and also dosa.
